WAE SSB Contest
I played around a bit in the WAE contest this weekend. Although I thought I would be able to dedicate a little more time to the contest it was fun.
Propagation was horrible, however the bands were open – but only with marginal signals. KC1XX (operated by OE6MBG) and all the other big guns from the US had signals way below their usual strength. Looked like they were running qrp.
QTCs are always “challenging” and icing on the cake especially when you have to deal with all sorts of accents. But it helps to train your short term callsign memory.
