Good propagation!

Tonight we had pretty good propagation into North America and the Caribbean. Band were wide open (although very selective) after sunset and around midnight local time (2200z) conditions improved even more.

20m sounded like 20m during daylight with short skip (inner EU QSOs) and good DX conditions into NA.

Thumps up! :)

The reason: Earth is entering a solar wind stream which could spark auroras at high latitudes. In fact one station from Ireland mentioned some flutter in my audio.

Yup, I had the same experience yesterday. Short skip to the UK from Holland is rare. I worked UK 2 portable stations on 20 meters in a row, just after midnight.

It was probably related to the flare on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday the A index had been pretty high and propagation was sort of “weird”.

On Saturday 20m was open up to west coast USA – which is very rare at that point of the cycle after sunset.
