(Bad) Solar Cycle News

Spaceweather.com has released some interesting news about the upcoming solar cycle: A meeting of solar scientists, was held in Boulder, CO to discuss the outcomes of current research regarding the upcoming solar cycle. On April 25 a press conference was held and announced – how surprising – a split decision: Some predict that the cycle will peak in 2011, some say it will peak in 2012.

Even more bad news: According tu recent research the current cycle will hit its bottom on March 2008 (plus minus 6 months). I sincerely hope that they are wrong in this aspect. As you might recall the minimum recently was announced for the second half of 2007.
