As I have just read on Matt Cutt’s Blog respectively on Search Engine Watch, Google has released a mini web page creator called Google Page Creator.

It is a WYSIWYG Editor with several templates and it reminds me of MS Powerpoint. The interface looks clean and is pretty fast using FF 1.5.0.1! Unfortunately there does not seems to be support for Opera.

Pages will be stored at http://gmail-alias.googlepages.com.

Nice idea to provide a homepage toolkit for webmasters who don’t want to fiddle around with expensive programs or want to actually learn HTML .

Update: Right now (about 5 hours after writing this entry) Google no longer offers new Google-Pages. Quote from http://pages.google.com:
