425 DX Newsletter offers Toolbar for Firefox
Since a few days, the 425 DX Newsletter offers a Firefox and Internet Explorer toolbar with the following features:
- Includes a cookie cleaner, a history cleaner, and a cache cleaner
- Get notified when you receive new e-mails to your POP3, Yahoo!, Gmail, or Hotmail accounts
- Instant access to our site (to 425 DX Newsletter) from any site on the web
- Search from anywhere on the web
- Get instant access to useful links
- Chat with other users who have the toolbar installed
- Get updates through the built-in message box (RSS)
- Listen to online radio from the toolbar
Not a bad idea, but so far I think the unique features are missing which would convince me installing it (although the chat idea looks promising as the users probably will be hams only). Addionally I am not the typical toolbar user
.
The toolbar can be downloaded here.

Hi Mauro,
thanks for your comment. Actually so far I did not install it (as I have mentioned in the post). But the mail you have send me contains much more features. You should update the information on the toolbar-page
.
I recently created the 425 toolbar and thought you might also find it interesting. It has lots of useful features and seems to be well-liked by a large number of users (including my self). Amont the features you can quickly search a string in the 425 bulletins, a callsign in the QRZ.com or DXWatch.com, fast links to 425 calendars, bulletins, magazine, old dx spots and links to DXWatch spots (last 50 HF, 50 ANN, by band) and several HAM RSS feed for news. There is also a chat feature and audio amateur newsline.
The possiblity to search for old DX Spots is nice. What resource are you using?
Tomorrow I will install it (you have convinced me
)
