Recently I stumbled upon an interesting extension called Layerblock. This extension filters ads which are hidden as Layers and up to now it was very difficult blocking them. This extension takes care of that.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t have anything against ads on webpages but ads should be unobstructive and should not produce eye-cancer. Popups, Pop-Unders and Layers fit definitely into the eye-cancer category.
