I recently stumbled across a nice screensaver. NASA offers a screensaver which shows near real time SOHO images. Those images are refreshed each time the saver gets activated.
The SOHO screensaver includes several transition effects so there is also some “movement” on the screen.

Although the SOHO screensaver is pretty old (1999) it works under Windows 2000 (so far without problems) Additionally a MAC version is supplied, which I could not test as I don’t have a Mac (@Jeff, KE9V: You might want to test it :-8 )
