Big Sunspot 822

Spaceweather.com has some nice pictures of the current sunspot 822 online. Sunspot 822 is around 140,000 km wide – approximately the size of the planet Jupiter.

We might get some interesting – although disturbed – propagation the next days.

    I think that this is really interesting, and it inspired me to do a presentation on this at my school, in my science class. I even tried to take (safe lens) binoculars, and I looked up to the sun and I was able to see this sunspot, and the one off to the side.
