X-Class Flare July 14th 1055z [update]

    This morning solar actitivy has intensified with a series of explosions originating from Sunspot 786.

    No direct thread for earth as the CME was not aimed at Earth. Nevertheless a few geomagnetic storms could be triggered. Again upside down propagation this weekend.

    As a result of the increased solar activity there had been another nice prominence emerged on the opposite side of the sun.

    The prominence measured almost 50 Earth diameters:
