    The term "contest" relates to the upcoming CQ WPX CW Contest on May 27/28.

    ALGERIA, 7X: John,G1NZO, received the callsign 7X0JL and will be active from Phydra (JM16MR) for the next four months. He will listen especially on 6m during the evening and weekends.

    ALGERIA, 7X: 7W2OM is the call of Rastislav,OM3BH, Jozef,OM3GI, Jozef,OM3NA, Tibor,OM3RM, and Frantisek,7X0RY, during the WPX contest.

    ARUBA, P4, SA-036: Andy,AE6Y, will be QRV as P49Y in the contest.

    BAHAMAS, C6: C6AYM will be the call of Eric,K9GY, from May 25-29. He also plans to take part in the contest. QSL via K9GY.

    BAHAMAS, C6: Duncan,EA5ON, will be QRV from Freeport (NA-080) signing GM7CXM/C6A from May 25-29. QSL via EA7JX.

    BELIZE, V3: Art,N3DXX, can be worked as V31RM during the contest.

    BOSNIA-HERCEGOVINA, T9: Zik,T9/VE3ZIK, will be QRV from Ljeb, mainly on 40/80m from May 27-30. QSL via DL3PS.

    CANADA, VE: Linda,VE9GLF, and Len,VE9MY, will visit Newfoundland (NA-027) and its coastal islands (NA-198) during the last days of May. They will be QRV with 100w during the evenings and weekends. QSL via homecall, buro ok.

    CAYMAN ISLANDS, ZF, NA-016: W4JO will be active as ZF2JO (QSL via W4YCH) between May 26 and Jun 2. His 13 year old son Mike,K4MBO, will work as ZF2MO (QSL via K4MBO).

    CRETE, SV9, EU-015: Dale,SV9/G3VMK, is working only in CW from May 22 until Jun 2. QSL via homecall.

    CROATIA, 9A, EU-136: Frans,9A/ON6KN, is active on the air from Losinj (EU-136) until May 26.

    CUBA, CO, NA-015: T40C will be the contest call of Willy,CO2UG, Yulian,CM6YI, and Winston,CO2WF. QSL via N1KI.

    CYPRUS, 5B, AS-004: Jack,RW3QC, will be QRV as 5B/NN3AA in the contest. QSL via RW3QC.

    DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, HI, NA-122: HI8/IW2OAZ is working from Catalina Island (NA-122) on 80-6m until May 30.

    ENGLAND, G: The lighthouse Pendean (ENG-101) in Cornwall will be activated by Chris,G1VDP, on May 31. QSL via bureau.

    FAEROE ISLANDS, OY, EU-018: Wim,OY/PA2AM, Steve,OY/PA2A, Hans,OY/PA0VHA, and Martin,OY/PA2VMA, will be QRV in CW/SSB/PSK31/RTTY between May 29 and Jun 8. QSL via PA0VHA (QRZ.com).

    FRANCE, F, EU-148: Bernard,F5XX, is visiting Brescou Island (EU-148) from May 25-29.

    GEORGIA, 4L: Vaho,4L8A, will be QRV only on 20m during the contest. QSL via DJ1CW.

    GREECE, SV: Kythira Island (EU-113) will be activated by Theodoros,SV1GRM, Sotirios,SV1HER, and Dimitris,SV1EDZ, using the callsign SV1GRM/8 on 2/17/20/30/40/80/160m from May 26-28. QSL via SV1GRM, bureau preferred.

    GREECE, SV: Laci,HA0HW, Tomi,HA4DX, And Ivan (Johny),LZ1PJ, are going to visit Thassos Island (EU-174) from May 27 until Jun 5. Listen for J48HW and SV8/HA0HW (QSL via HA0HW), J48DX and SV8/HA4DX (QSL via HA4DX), J48PJ and SV8/LZ1PJ (QSL via LZ1PJ).

    GREECE, SV: SY8V will be the call of another activity from Kythira (EU-113) from May 26-28. The operators SV1HER, SV1GRM and SW1GZL are working from the lighthouse (WLOTA L-1703, ARLHS GRE-120, WLH SV-084) on the northern tip of the island. Antikythira Island (MIA MG-014) will be visited on Jun 2/3. Their destination is again the lighthouse (WLOTA L-0298, ARLHS GRE-040, WLH SV-011). QSL via SV1HER.

    GUADELOUPE, FG, NA-102: The special event station TO7AES will be QRV in SSB/PSK31/CW on May 27.

    GUINEA-BISSAU, J5: Tibi,HA7TM, is momentarily active as J5UTM. He might stay there until the end of the month. QSL via HA7TM.

    HAITI, HH, NA-096: Ned,HH4/N4LS, will be QRV in SSB/CW on 80-10m during his spare time from Jun 1-8.

    HAITI, HH, NA-096: Glauber,HH/PS7EB, is working in CW/SSB/digital modes between May 19 and Nov 25. QSL via PS7EB, bureau ok.

    HAITI, HH, NA-096: Listen for Fabio,HH/PY1ZV, on 80-10m from Port-au-Prince from May 31 until Jun 8.

    INDONESIA, YB, OC-270: The YE6P DXpedition to Simeulue Island (OC-270) is now scheduled for May 24-29. QSL via YB1TC, bureau ok.

    LUXEMBOURG, LX: Hein,LX/DL2OBF, will participate in the contest also. QSL via DL2OBF.

    MARTINIQUE, FM, NA-107: Jacky,FM/F5OIU, is working mainly in CW with 100 watts from May 13 until July 1. QSL via homecall, bureau ok.

    MOROCCO, CN: Patrick,F6IRF, is active on air as CN2WW until May 29. QSL via EA7FTR.

    NORFOLK ISLAND, VK9/N, OC-005: The Oceania Amateur Radio DX Group ODXG plans to hit the airwaves with three stations from May 25 until Jun 21 to celebrate the arrival of the "HMS Bounty" with the mutineers 150 years ago. VI9NI will be QRV in CW/ SSB/RTTY on 160-6m, operators will be VE7NS, VK4AN, VK4DV, VK5PO and VK4FW. Following operating frequencies were announced in advance: CW: 1822, 3523, 7023, 10103, 14023, 18073, 21023,24893,28023,50125 kHz; SSB:1822, 3785, 7093, 14195, 18140, 21295, 24940, 28475 and 50125 kHz; RTTY: 10103, 14084, 21084 and 28084 kHz.

    NORFOLK ISLAND, VK9/N, OC-005: The HIDXA Club got the special callsigns VI9NL for Kirsti,VK9NL, and VI9NS for Jim,VK9NS, to celebrate the same anniversary (see last note). The exact duration of this activity has not been communicated.

    SCOTLAND, GM, EU-005: Paul,2M1EUB/p, will be QRV from the Cairngorms National Park between May 27 and Jun 2.

    SINGAPORE, 9V: Enno,9V1CW, will use the callsign S65X during the contest. QSL via PA0KHS, bureau ok.

    SVALBARD, JW, EU-027: Roger,LA4GHA, is momentarily very active as JW4GHA from the very rare Bear Island (EU-027). His stay is planned to last until July. He can be found in CW/SSB on 50110 kHz very often. QSL via LA4GHA, bureau ok.
